Retrace the steps of the History Channel crew during the Investigating History episode of The Lost Atlantis!

The tour is led by George Erikson, Arizona-based anthropologist, published author and featured guest in various television programs covering the archeological history of Central America and The Caribbean.

Anthropologist George Erikson has been associated with pre-Columbian myths since 1981 when he published Maria Sabina: Her Life and Chants (Ross-Erikson 1981):

Itinerary and Registration Below

Day 1 Arrive Merida airport and transfer to lodgings at Chichen Itza (group pick-up will be arranged for those arriving within a 2-hour window). Evening dinner & discussion about the area’s archeological sites.

Day 2 After breakfast, visit to the world-renowned Chichen Itza archeological site. There will be both group and individual exploration of these amazing Mayan ruins. After dinner, the bus returns to the site for the evening Sound & Light Show.

Day 3 Drive to Merida, where we take an architectural tour of this colonial city that reflects both Spanish and Moorish influence. In the afternoon, visit to Dzibilchaltun archeological site.

Day 4 Day excursion to the impressive Uxmal site, which flourished during the Maya Classic Period (300-900 AD). Free afternoon and evening in Merida.

Day 5 After breakfast, we visit Merida's Archeological Museum (guided tour); rest of the day is free for shopping and getting to know more of the city.

Afternoon: Departure for airport - flight for Mexico City
