Ibera marshes are an old ditch of the Parana River, now a shallow depression full of water. It is conformed by a few floating islands that move with the force of strong winds, taking along all the flora and fauna afloat. Within the ranch limits there are 245 different species of birds, and in the marshes there are over 80 variety of fish. Among other animals living in the marshes, we find the biggest heron in South America, 2 species of caymans, carpinchos (world’s largest rodent).
