Day 1:  Pick up at Jorge Chavez Airport and transfer to your 5-Star hotel accommodations.  Day at leisure.

Day 2:  Take an early morning flight to Trujillo, famous for its folk music and considered the capital of Paso horse breeding.

After lunch we ride to the archeological complex of Huaca -Temples of the Sun and the Moon.  These temples were the religious center of the Moche culture, are constructed of adobe, with platforms that reach a considerable height.  We finish our ride in a local ranch, where you can experience the culture and beauty of the Peruvian countryside.  Dinner is included at the hotel.

Day 3:  We ride through the archeological ruins of Chan-Chan, the most important center of ancient Chimu culture (1100-1400AD) and the largest clay city in the world (UNESCO World Heritage site).  Afterwards, we enjoy lunch at Huanchaco Beach.  There is a beautiful colonial church situated in this town where fishermen still maintain the traditions handed down by their ancestors.     Dinner is included at hotel.

Day 4:  After breakfast, we depart to Chiclayo by private bus (length of trip is 3 1/2 hrs).  This city is located north of Trujillo and is the capital of the Department of Lambayeque.  The Lambayeque culture generated he majority of the gold produced in ancient Peru.  Lambayeque is also considered a place of profound cosmological energies, and an important center of shamanism in Peru.

During lunch, we enjoy the Exhibition of Peruvian Horses at Paijan, a renowned Paso horse breeding "hacienda."   Dinner included at hotel.

Day 5:  After breakfast, we ride to Pimentel Beach and have lunch there.  We visit the Bruning Museum, one of the most important museums in Northern Peru.  It houses exhibits of gold, silver and copper, belonging to various cultures as ancient as 4,000 years old.

We also visit the archeological ruins of Sipan. This is an ancient burial ground of recent discovery, belonging to the Master of Sipan, a visionary leader of a rich and ancient kingdom.  Discovered in 1987, it has been hailed as one of the most important archeological finds of the century.  The tombs of Sipan have enabled historians to piece together much of the lost history of an impressive civilization that dominated most of Northern Peru for centuries -the Moche Culture.     Dinner is included at the hotel.

Day 6:   We visit the archeological complex of Tucume, also known as the Valley of the Pyramids.  Here you will find the largest adobe building in Peru and South America.  We enjoy lunch at Tucume, and afterwards visit the Sican Museum.        Enjoy a dinner show at the hotel.

Research shows that the region of Cajamarca has been inhabited for 3,000 years.  In November 1532, the city was witness to one of the most transcendental moments in world history:  Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro took the Incan king Atahualpa prisoner, resulting in a new era in the history of Peru.  Enjoy dinner at the hotel.

Day 8: We trail ride all morning and visit Banos del Inca, a thermal water bathing resort, with lunch included.  Afternoon is on your own and dinner is included at hotel.
