Terms
& Conditions for China
Transportation:
Our tour prices do not include international airfare to
point of origin in China. Prices do include all domestic flights and land
transportation within China, including return trip to Shanghai from either
Yunnan or Tibet. We do offer separate airfare from the U.S. West
Coast to China, which is priced separately.
All airport
transfers and airport taxes incurred during our program are included, from
time of your arrival in China through the end of the program.
International departure tax from China into the U.S.A. on your return
flight is not included.
Accommodations & Meals
Hotels:
Deluxe accommodations in Beijing (5-4 star hotels), and best
available accommodations in Tibet. In Tsedang, we stay at the only
3-star Western style accommodations in town. In Lhasa we stay in
Tibetan-style and locally owned Yak or Mandala Hotel, in the heart of the
Old Tibetan Quarter (24-hr hot water and western style bathrooms included)
Meals:
Tour
price includes daily breakfast & lunch, as well as most
dinners. Vegetarian meals are available upon request (we will do our best
to fulfill this request, depending on the area in which we are traveling). Alcoholic beverages
are not included; however, on occasion beer will be served with your
meals.
Guided Tours & Sightseeing:
All
tours include a local English-speaking Tibetan guide. Your tour
managers, Dulce & Barry, will accompany you throughout your journey as
well. All entrance fees for places visited and all vehicles used during
our tour are included in price. The entry permit to Lhasa is included for
those choosing the Tibet program.
Gratuities:
Not
included. It is not customary to tip restaurant or hotel personnel
in China/Tibet, but we do encourage small tips for baggage handlers. It is
customary to tip trip guides & driver, at your discretion.
Insurance:
Quest Tours
is not responsible or liable for loss, damage or theft of
luggage or personal belongings, nor are we liable for personal injury,
accident or illness. Please check with your insurance company to see if
you are adequately covered for medical services overseas. You may want to
consider the purchase of trip cancellation and emergency medical
evacuation insurance.
Passport & Visas:
A
valid passport and tourist visa are required for travel in China, and it
is the individual’s responsibility to obtain proper documentation. We
will secure entry permits to Lhasa. We are also able to process your

Reservations:
To
make a reservation, please complete the on-line
registration.
Upon receipt of your application, we will send you an email confirming
availability (our group size is generally limited to 12 guests). At that
time, a non-refundable deposit of $300 is due, which can be submitted via
a secure, on-line credit card transaction or by mailing your personal
check. No reservation can be made without a deposit. Balance of
payment is due no later than 60 days prior to tour start date.
Cancellation & Refunds:
You
must notify QuestTours of cancellation in writing. Refunds will be
subject to the following penalties: non-refundable $300 deposit. In
addition, cancellations within 59 - 45 days of tour start date are subject
to a 30% penalty, unless individual transfers to another tour.
Cancellations made 44 - 31 days before tour start date are subject to a
40% penalty, unless participant transfers to another tour. No refunds are
allowed on cancellations made 30 days prior to tour start date, unless we
can fill your space.
Should QuestTours be forced to cancel
the trip due to circumstances beyond its control, we will refund in full
any amounts paid by trip participant. However, we are not to be held
liable for any cancellation fees or penalties imposed by airline carriers
on non-refundable international tickets.
Cost of the Tour Excludes:
Visa &
passport fees, gratuities, dinnertime meals unless specifically included
in program, trip cancellation, baggage & health insurance, international
airfare and laundry.
